Welcome to Roz’s Readers Room, RRR, a place where Young Lives Matter! I am excited to welcome you to my room and offer you a place where all of us can share and discuss ideas related to our mutual love of children and our shared goal of providing a safe and joyful world for them. As a grandmother of four and a lifelong educator, I look forward to connecting my readers during this unprecedented time of isolation. I am thrilled to hear questions, ideas, and stories from both my young readers and their parents related to my new book, An Ordinary Kid in Extraordinary Times, and children in general. No ideas are rejected, no questions are foolish, no opinions are ridiculed, and all participants matter. Hopefully, both children and adults will join me to strengthen the communication between the generations and help create a safer more joyous world for us all.
THANK YOU
Thank you to all of you for your incredible support this first week of the release of my book, An Ordinary Kid in Extraordinary Times. It has been a whirlwind beginning with my Zoom Launch Party on Tuesday evening with guest speaker, Dr, Lindsey Leininger of Dear Pandemic. I was thrilled to see 50+ of you in attendance, and I think we al had a great time hearing and seeing my book as I read it aloud and receiving expert advice and facts from Lindsey on living sanely and safely during this pandemic. I sold out of my personally signed copies, Amazon sold down to 7 copies and reordered, and Barnes and Noble totally sold out and reordered. Oddly B&N removes books from the site once it sells out until their stock is renewed, so it will look like they do not carry it , but they do! It will reappear when they restock their new order. Very poor marketing strategy in my opinion, but they didn’t ask my advice! All in all, I am ecstatic and moving on to spreading the word to schools, libraries, doctors, and any other venues focused on the welfare of our children. If you could join my “posse” and spread the word too, I would be so grateful. As I said in the book, “We are all stronger when we work together! “ Your friend, Roz
